The Jaipur Youth Festival, an interactive and cultural event organised by the youth and for the youth, was held in Jaipur from 27 October to 29 October.

Jaipur : The Jaipur Youth Festival, an interactive and cultural event organised by the youth and for the youth, was held in Jaipur from 27 October to 29 October.

The itinerary comprised of 19 sessions with more than 30 plus speakers from across the country representing different domains.

The process involved interaction of the speakers with the participating students through a moderator.

The final session on 29 October commenced with focus on the all important and sensitive subject of "Historical reflection of the state of Jammu and Kashmir."

The session was addressed by Colonel Jaibans Singh, a defense and security expert, Shri D K Dubey, a prominent lawyer whose expertise lies in the legal aspects concerning the state, and Shri Vijay Kranti, a veteran journalist. It drew a lot of interest from the audience.

Col. Jaibans Singh emphasised on the historically nationalist character of the state that has been derailed by a few separatist elements. He also spoke of the manner in which terrorism has been defeated in the state by the security forces with full support of the local population.

The afternoon session of the final was heralded with the topic "Shahbano se Sayrabano" from where ensued an informed discussion on the topic of Triple Talaq.

The session speakers were Shri Vijay Kranti, Shri DK Dubey and Ms Charu Pragya.

The final day also witnessed an intellectual debate between the youth and experienced on the topic "Padmavati - The film" with Mr. Ramesh Sharma, director, Doordarshan, Mr. Alok Sharma, senior Journalist and Dr. Omendra Ratnad, holding forth the discussion.

The concluding session had Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, an Olympic Silver Medalist in Shooting and the Union Sports Minister who is an icon for the youth of today.

With him were Mr. Ashok Lahoti, Mayor, Jaipur and Mr. Narendra Kandoi, director, the Global Institute of Technology.

Parallel to these sessions was conducted a "Robo Race competition" where upcoming engineers showcased their talent. The event ended with an energetic DJ night and felicitation of delegates, speakers and volunteers on the event. The prize distribution ceremony was also done on its last day.

The idea of holding this festival was conceived and implemented by Shri Anurag Saxena along with Shri Lalit Mehra, Shri Kartikaya Singh Akhawat and Shri Himanshu Sharma. It was organised by Moonstruck Events. Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur was the brand ambassador of the event.
