* Goal for the trip?

Are you heading for a leisurely break or going on a trip to spend quality time with your family? You need to plan for the trip based on that criteria. If it is an adventurous trip, select a place keeping that in mind. Also read up on the location, the food available, its history and arts.

* Do you really want a companion?

If you need a break to refresh yourself, go on a solo trip or spend the trip with people who will help you unwind. Find a travel mate who is as adventurous as you are.

* Money and duration

Your spending will decide the duration of the trip. Carefully consider how much of your savings are you willing to spend on this particular outing. Are you hoping to take a big trip sometime in the future? If so, don’t spend all the money on this trip.
