Since the bandh call given by the TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao himself, the TRS cadre has been striving hard to make the bandh a grand success.A However, the Congress leaders are equally determined to make bandh a total failure. They appealed to people not to observe bandh. It may be recalled that the chief minister reiterated that the decision on the Bayyaram iron ore mines would not be taken back and in this connection he made caustic remarks against the TRS chief.

The chief minister even challenged the TRS chief to create an earthquake and the Government is capable of handling the earthquake. He even stated that KCR had commercialized the Telangana movement and the students and youth were losing due to this. TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao took the comment seriously and called for district bandh on May 2.

However, he postponed the bandh to May 3 due to the polytechnic entrance examination on May 2. Sangareddy MLA and Government Whip Turpu Jayaprakash Reddy aka Jagga Reddy took strong exception to the bandh call given by TRS chief and announced that the bandh would not be observed in Sangareddy at any cost.

MLC Farooq Hussain exhorted people not to observe bandh in Sangareddy. According to reliable sources, the Congress party workers were instructed to see the bandh was a total failure. They have even conducted special meetings at Siddhipet and Sangareddy to that effect, it is learnt.

Meanwhile, TRS leaders Harish Rao, S Ramalinga Reddy, Devendar Reddy, R Satyanarayana and others announced that the bandh would be observed at any cost.
