A magistrate court here on Thursday ordered the Bhumpalli police to file a cheating case against Dubbaka MLA Mutyam Reddy. Advocate R Chandrasekhar Reddy on behalf of the villagers of Potareddypet filed a private complaint against the MLA in the magistrate court alleging that after laying foundation stone for Yadava community hall in Potareddypet village in Dubbaka mandal, the MLA did not take up the construction of it.

People of Potareddypet said that the MLA laid the foundation stone for the Yadava community hall in the village on March 313, 2013. However, the construction has not taken up so far. When contacted the MLA did not properly reply to the villagers, they said.

Then they inquired with the department concerned about the progress of the file relating to the construction of the community hall. Much to their dismay, they found that the government did not sanction any funds for the community hall. Aggrieved by the inaction of the MLA, they preferred a private complaint through the advocate. The police officials were not available to clarify on the issue.
