IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh described YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan adopted sons of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not uttering a single word against him over injustice done to the State by the Centre
IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh described YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan ‘adopted sons’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not uttering a single word against him over injustice done to the State by the Centre. When The Hans India sought views of people on the comments of Lokesh, most of them disagreed with his criticism saying every party has its own agenda and strategy, hence the two parties need not toe the TDP line.
Lokesh saying Jagan and Pawan are adopted sons of Modi does not make any sense at all. Till early 2018 both TDP and the NDA were in alliance. The BJP did not stand on its commitment to help AP and the people of AP are against the Centre. Both Jagan and Pawan have their own party policies and manifestoes and are working for the benefit of the state.. - K Venkates wara Rao, businessman, Vijayawada
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has no sufficient time to think about Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan and YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy. When the TDP had an alliance with the BJP, Minister for IT Nara Lokesh appreciated Narendra Modi. Now as the TDP distanced itself from the BJP, Lokesh is criticising Modi. Lokesh is adopting opportunistic politics. - D Naga Raju, businessman, Guntur
I don’t agree with Lokesh. He is still new to politics. Jagan is only targeting CM seat and has no need to seek BJP support. Pawan is still new and he may tie-up with any party. But he is the first politician to criticise the NDA and Modi for not granting SCS to AP before TDP. As these two parties are trying to achieve their political goals, I don’t think they are in cahoots with BJP.. - Ch V A S Srinivasu, businessman, Pithapuram, East Godavari.
The BJP government is not co-operating with TDP government in the state for its overall development and creating hurdles to the government in various ways. Jana Sena and YSR Congress Party though they are working against the state government, the leaders of the two parties are not the adopted sons of Narendra Modi as alleged by Lokesh. - M Satyanarayana, government employee, Rajamahendravaram
Jagan is from the beginning opposing TDP and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. But Pawan and Modi were till recently friends of Chief Minister Naidu but now they have turned into bitter enemies. Then how can Lokesh call Pawan as adopted son of BJP simply because he started opposing the TDP forgetting that he was once his own party's adopted son. - Krishnamurthy, private employee, Tirupati
Yes I agree with the comments made by Nara Lokesh describing YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Pawan Kalyan the adopted sons of Narendra Modi as the duo failed to utter a single word critical of the Prime Minister. Especially, the YSR Congress president is completely silent with regard to Modi. - Pasupuleti Kishore, R Kodur, Kadapa disrict
The comments of Lokesh that Jagan and Pawan are adopted sons of Narendra Modi may not be correct. The TDP was in alliance with BJP and close to Narendra Modi. Forgetting it, why TDP leaders are making comments against other leaders? Jagan and Pawan are also fighting the Central government on state interests. - K Ramam, voluntary organisation, Budumuru, Srikakulam.
We cannot say Jagan and Pawan are adopted sons of Prime Minister Modi as Lokesh alleged. Jagan has been fighting for interests of the state in his own way and Pawan is now trying to establish in the politics. - P Rajasekhar, Private Employee, Nellore
Yes. Lokesh comments are justified in the present political circumstances as both Jagan and Pawan Kalyan are doing politics according to Modi direction. - N Malleswar Rao, accountant, MRF showroom, Vizag.
We cannot say they are adopted sons of Modi because all parties are not supposed to follow TDP. When TDP is joining hands with the Congress there may be possibility, Jagan and Pawan too may adopt their own political agendas. - G Ramana, private employee, Nellore
The TDP was in alliance with BJP-led NDA government till recently. As long as they were with the BJP they did not ask the BJP to accord SCS to the state. In fact, the TDP said SCS is not a panacea and passed a resolution in Assembly congratulating the BJP for giving special package to the state. At a key point of time they changed their line on special package and began fight SCS for political gain. In my opinion the TDP or Lokesh saying Jagan and Pawan are Modi’s adopted sons is wrong. - P Muralikrishna, secretary, MB Vignana Kendram, Vijayawada
YSRCP chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan are following the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and dancing to his tunes, that is why they are not criticising Modi. I agree with IT Minister Nara Lokesh’s statement that they are adopted sons of Modi and there is nothing wrong in his statement. The Centre hatched a conspiracy to weaken the TDP government in the State and that is why the Centre is not extending cooperation for the development of Andhra Pradesh. The voters will teach a lesson to the BJP in the coming elections. - Sribhashyam Ranganath, advocate, Guntur
Jaganmohan Reddy is has been in padayatra for the last 300 days with a view to come to power which he feels narrowly missed in 2014, while Pawan Kalyan is campaigning with his own agenda. Both are working to achieve their own goals. Linking them to Modi is baseless. TDP leaders are eager to come back to power leaving principles. They joined hands with Congress. Lokesh and his party are resorting to this type of cheap tactics of linking the two leaders to Modi. - V Ravi Kumar, company executive, Kakinada
BJP is trying to take revenge on the state government which is opposing its government at the Centre on various issues. As part of it, it has colluded with Jana Sena and YSRCP to create problems to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. As alleged by minister for panchayatraj Nara Lokesh, JSP chief Pawan Kalyan and YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy are the adopted sons of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who are acting on his directions. - M Rambabu, textile trader, Rajamahendravaram
No I don't agree. Till some 9 months back, Modi was a good friend of TDP. But now he became an enemy for the party. Simply because Modi is an opponent, it is not good on the part of Lokesh to say Jagan and Pawan are Modi's adopted sons. But in politics such accusations are very common and we should not give importance to such remarks. - K Mohan, shopkeeper, Tirupati
There is no doubt that Jagan and Pawan are adopted son of Narendra Modi as they pledged their parties to the Prime Minister. If the duo are really interested in state’s development, why they have failed to criticise the Central government over Special Category Status during their meetings? - S Venkata Subba Reddy, Rajupalem village, Badvel mandal
Lokesh’s comments show his immaturity. TDP leaders are thinking that all other parties have to follow TDP which is impossible in a democracy. Even Jagan and Pawan are questioning the Central government on state issues like SCS. - J Shiva, private employee, Etcherla, Srikakulam
YSR Congress has also expressed its dissent over the Centre through resignations of MPs and protests. TDP is simply blaming others for its failures. Whoever supports the Centre are being blamed as double-dealers. - M Vijay, student, Nellore
Can't agree with Lokesh’s comment as Pawan Kalyan is fighting against the BJP in recent times and it may apply for Jagan as he has not made any comments against BJP. - D Narendra, working as guest faculty, Vizag
It has all become common for making allegations against one another as every party had maintained good relationship with Modi led BJP at one or other time. - D Kiran Kumar, Floor In-charge at a mall, Visakhapatnam
