Even after Imran Khan becoming prime minister, extending an olive branch to India for peace talks was a bluff because Pakistani Army-ISI trained terrorists were back in the game of bleeding India by indulging in attacks in Punjab and killing civilians and soldiers.
Since there is no let-up in terror activities on the borders, questions are raised how can India believe whether Imran Khan's call for peace talks is genuine?
However, on the auspicious occasion of laying the foundation stone for the religious corridor at Dera Baba Nanak at the borders, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu in his address after fully agreeing to the views of Captain Amarinder has rightly said that as a last resort, Kartarpur corridor can build bridges between the two nations provided Imran Khan sticks to his word and takes concrete steps to zero terrorism, otherwise any Indo-Pak talks to resolve all outstanding issues will be an exercise in futility.
