The fact that Narendra Modi had a narrative which catapulted him in the prime minister's chair. However, after four and half years, it appears that he has not been able to convey his narrative everywhere and to everyone his determination to transform the Indian landscape. As the campaigning has turned for the worse with more or less every party has been only indulging in abuses and wild allegations against thier rivals with none taking the initiative to talk about development. In short, Modi criticising K. Chandrasekhar Rao for shoddy performance on all fronts and attributing failure to poor governance and vote bank politics is totally misplaced. In a way, Modi's address is full of half-truths which may not help the party improve its strength. - K R Srinivasan, Secunderabad
