Brahmotsavams at Yadagirigutta

Yadagirigutta: The annual Brahmotsavams would be celebrated at Yadagirigutta Srilakshmi Narasimha Swami temple from March 14 to 24. Akhanda Jyoti atop the propaganda vehicle would be taken out from Yadagiri Bhavan in Hyderabad on March 10 and reach Yadagirigutta on March 13. The temple authorities have erected pandals to provide shade to the devotees and CCTVs and large screens were arranged for the devotees to witness the kalyanotsavam. However, the income of the temple is anywhere between Rs. 4 crore and Rs. 5 crore but only Rs. 35 lakh was earmarked for the celebrations. There is no drinking water facility for the devotees who are compelled to purchase drinking water at exorbitant prices. Devotees appeal to the authorities to arrange bus facility to reach the top of the hill. The police had made necessary security arrangements using metal detectors.
