Nalgonda: For the first time, people of Nalgonda town would have the facilities of TV channels, Internet and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) through a single fibre optical cable. With this, Nalgonda would become one of the few towns in the country to have such facility.

Nalgonda Digital Cable (NDC) Network would be launching digital cable TV signal service on February 15 with the unique facility of Internet and IP phone services through single fibre optical cable. To ensure cutting-edge technology in cable TV services, NDC tied up with Jainhits, a satellite-based digital cable TV distribution platform providing digitised and encrypted satellite TV signals directly to the cable network owners.

Speaking to The Hans India, managing director of NDC Network N Venkata Ramana Reddy claimed that with NDC cable connection, customers would be able to use TV channel signals, Internet and IP phone at the same time without disturbance to any service. In all, 190 TV channels, including 32 Telugu channels, would also be available in the cable network. TV9 and ABN Andhra Jyothi would also be telecast on this network, he said.

In addition to 190 satellite channels, NDC would also telecast three local channels – NDC News, NDC Music and NDC Channel. Currently, cable operators in the town are not telecasting TV9 and ABN Andhra Jyothi following the decision Telangana MSOs Association to stop the signals of these two channels. With the launch of NDC Networks, its customers would be able to view TV9 and ABN Andhra Jyothi channels as well, he said.

NDC Network director Jithender Reddy said customers would be able to make a phone call to the US through IP phone facility with a tariff of 80 paise per minute. The NDC Network would be expanded throughout the district in a phased manner, he added.
