New Delhi: The Andhra Pradesh State Secretariat Employees staged a candle-march, bringing to the Capital the demand for keeping Andhra Pradesh united. The AP Secretariat Employees are demanding that the Centre should rollback the decision on bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Nearly 350 Andhra Secretariat Employees, who arrived in the Capital, wanted to take out a Candle March to India Gate from the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan. The police stopped them, saying they had no permission. Then the procession moved towards Jantar-Mantar to stage the Candle-March. Midway, again the police stopped them, saying there was no permission for them to stage the Candle-March at Jantar-Mantar.

YSRCP leader Y S Vijayamma is expected in the Capital on Friday to extend solidarity to the AP Secretariat Employees. Now the AP Secretariat Employees will stage a daylong darna at Jantar-Mantar in the Capital. Later in the evening, the AP Secretariat Employees will hold a with the Seemandhra leaders. At a time when the Centre has signalled that it is pressing ahead with the formation of Telangana, the AP Secretariat Employees are keen to make their voice heard with the powers that be.
