Mumbai: In a new twist, Bombay High Court has ordered a reinvestigation into the suicide case of Jiah Khan. The court has asked the Juhu Police to record Jiah Khan's mother Rabia's statements about the circumstances of her death.
Rabia Khan has alleged that Jiah was killed and the crime was made to look like a suicide.
To back her claim, she also attached a report from an independent forensic probe, which, according to reports, hints at foul play. For example, CCTV feed showed Jiah entering her home just minutes before the time of death. Footage shows Jiah walking in wearing a track suit but her body was found in a night gown. The petition asks if Jiah, who was allegedly bent on suicide, would’ve had the inclination to change before killing herself.
Rabiya’s fresh petition asking police to look into the injury marks again was filed on October 1.
Rabia also said the police were on the wrong track to overlook the aspect of murder.
