Travel by Volvo buses has become creepy. Even before forgetting the most awful Volvo accident at Mahabubnagar, another incident took place at Kunimallahalli in Haveri district of Karnataka. In the present situation, if a Volvo bus gets ablaze, within no time it smashes and passengers have to lose hopes on their lives.
A national travels Volvo bus travelling from Bengaluru to Mumbai caught fire in the early hours on Thursday and left with ashes within no time.
In this accident, while 7 people lost their lives on the spot, more 20 people injured. The condition of 6 passengers has been reported to be very critical. It is likely that the death toll may increase.
One victim has been identified as Sriram hailing from Mumbai. In this accident three members of the same family hailing from Bengaluru died on the spot.
A foreigner named Brite lost his passport and other important documents in this accident. It is worth mentioning here that the vehicle which caught fire has been recently purchased, a year back. The Haveri district SP, Sasi Kumar rushed to the spot to review the situation.
Karnataka transport minister, Ramlinga Reddy said it was due to the negligent driving only, the accident took place.
