New Delhi: After AAP, it is the turn of the BJP to reach out to each household in the name of collecting donation, ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 1,000, in the name of Modi-for-PM Fund. Planning to unleash Modi-for- PM blitzkrieg across the country, the BJP would soon be coming out with its blueprint that would unveil its strategy for securing 272+ seats in the Lok Sabha elections, slated for next year. BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi gave a call to the party to get ready for the polls. He said that there were only 120 days left for the polls. While the next 60 days should be spent to get ready, another 60 days should be utilised for poll campaig

Unveiling his strategy at the party’s day-long strategy session, Modi said that in 2009 elections, Congress secured 206 seats, while BJP was winner in 115 seats. The difference of votes was around 89 lakhs, Now there are 12 crore new first-time voters and if the BJP succeeds to target even one crore voters, it can easily erase the gap.

Modi asked the party to fecilitate and register first-time voters in January. From January 20, the party should then reach out to every booth. Unlike AAP, which is a new party, the BJP is heading five state governments, but is still planning to go door-to-door in the name of raising funds, besides asking the people to vote to make Modi the Prime Minister, as it feels that their personal contact with the people alone can catapult Modi to the Prime Minister’s post. As each household has an estimated 5 members, reaching out to the 10 crore households means directly connecting with 50 crore voters across the country.

The BJP held a high-level strategy session in the capital on Tuesday, where the BJP-ruled Chief Ministers met the BJP Parliamentary Board members and later the BJP Election Campaign Committee. Present at the meeting were all the State Unit Presidents, besides the heads of all the 20 sub-groups under the BJP Election Campaign Committee. The BJP has decided on a two-pronged strategy. At one level will be the mega rallies of Modi and at another level, the party will work on micro-management of the elections at the booth-level, in a massive outreach programme.

The party has also planned parliamentary constituency-level meetings in at least 450 parliamentary constituencies, which will be addressed by national and local leaders of the party. In each of these constituency-level meetings, at least five workers from every election booth will attend. In the BJP National Executive and National Council meetings slated for mid- January, the BJP plans to launch Modi in a much bigger way.
