"PM has expressed grief on the unfortunate accident in Anantapur, AP. He extends condolences to the families of those who lost their lives," said PMO's twitter.
"PM also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the accident in Anantapur," it added.
Earlier in the day, four passengers died and 10 others got injured after a state transportation bus fell into a gorge in Andhra Pradesh 's Anantapur district.
The incident took place around four kilometres from Penukonda.
