15 persons have died and 150 injured in the accident.
"Train had to stop at Bachhrawan station but driver overshot signal which resulted in derailment of engine. Senior officials have reached the spot, Suresh Prabhuji is also monitoring the situation," Anil Saxena (Rail Board PRO) said.
Railway officials have reached the accident spot. The rescue and relief operation is under way.
The UP government has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to kin of people who have died and Rs 50,000 for the injured.
The state government will do whatever is required, UP minister Manoj Pandey told reporters.
