Rabri And I Had Planted Trees: Lalu. It seems the row over mangoes at former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi\'s bungalow is not going to die down soon.

Patna: It seems the row over mangoes at former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi's bungalow is not going to die down soon. Now, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has claimed that it was he and his wife Rabri Devi who had planted the mango and litchi trees in the garden of the bungalow.

“It was me and Rabri Devi who planted these trees. Those lucky are eating” (the fruits), claimed Lalu.

On Wednesday, Manjhi's party Hindustani Awam Morcha had accused Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of deploying 24 policemen to prevent the ex-CM from enjoying fruits like mangoes and litchis from the trees at the bungalow.

Manjhi, even after being removed from the CM's chair, is continuing to live in the bungalow designated for the state chief minister.

“This is narrow-mindedness. He has done this so that a person from Scheduled Caste cannot enjoy and benefit from fruits,” commented Manjhi yesterday.

To which, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had replied: “I have no idea about this. We are more focused on Bihar's governance”.

“Many people get addicted to many things in a very short span of time,” the CM said, taking a dig at Manjhi.

“Those who are worried about mangoes, let them stay worried. We are more concerned about the people of Bihar,” he added.
