New Delhi: In a setback for India, Myanmar has refused any more joint military operation against NSCN cadres in the country. According to sources, Myanmar told National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who recently visited the country, that they have some “limitations”.

Sources further said that Myanmar told the NSA that while NSCN was confined to border areas, the hot pursuit by the Indian Army forced the terrorists to move further inside the country.

The setback for India comes days after Doval, Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar and some PMO officials visited Myanmar on June 17. It is said that India's proposal did not go down well with Myanmar. The NSA had informed Myanmar about 25 anti-India cadres.
