The maximum temperature is Delhi was down to 26.5 degrees Celsius, nine degrees below normal and the minimum was recorded 23 degrees Celsius, four degrees below normal.

Monsoon is active over North India with Uttarakhand bearing the brunt of heavy rainfall. Chamole, Nainital, Pauri, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag and Pitoragarh have received continuous rain for two consecutive days. Landslides in Madkot, Pauri, Dharchula and Kappkot killed four people.

The weather department has forecast very heavy rainfall over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and western Uttar Pradesh for today. Heavy rain is also expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, East Rajasthan, western Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshdweep.

The annual Hindu pilgrimage Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir was stopped on Sunday due to bad weather, police said. Heavy rainfall triggered landslides leading to the blockade of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Gangroo in Udhampur district.
