The Delhi-Chandigarh Shatabdi Express came under attack after allegedly some unidentified miscreants pelted stones at the train and damaged its window panes in Rathdhana village.


The express was attacked on Monday evening, when it was running between Rathdhana and Sonepat railway station in Haryana, when some miscreants threw stones at it ahead of Rathdhana village and damaged the
window panes, an official spokesperson said.

"This incident has been taken seriously. A case will be registered against the culprits and strict action initiated against them," he said.

Deputy Commissioner of Sonepat Rajiv Ratan on Tuesday said that he has issued warning through public announcement in the nearby villages to take stringent action against those found involved in such incidents.


Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO) Ram Singh held a meeting with the villagers of Rathdhana on Tuesday and asked them to sensitise the children about not getting involved in such unlawful activities.
