Congress Is Still In \'Emergency\' Mindset, Says Javadekar. Minister of State for Environment and Forests Prakash Javadekar on Monday lashed out at the Congress for obstructing the passage of GST Bill in the Parliament, saying the grand old party is still in the \'emergency\' mindset.

New Delhi: Minister of State for Environment and Forests Prakash Javadekar on Monday lashed out at the Congress for obstructing the passage of GST Bill in the Parliament, saying the grand old party is still in the 'emergency' mindset.

"Congress disrupts the Parliament and puts demands which don't have any substance. They are still in the 'emergency' mindset where they think they have the power," Javadekar told the media here.

"The reality is that nobody is with Congress, neither the people of the nation nor the leaders of other parties. The fact is that the Congress members feel that they are doing wrong but they are unable to do anything because of the directives from the top leadership," he added.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had earlier held the Congress responsible for blocking the GST bill in the Parliament, saying the opposition's demand for External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's resignation on the Lalit-Gate was just a pretext.
