Assam: Congress suspends four MLAs, show cause notice to five others for anti-party activities

APCC spokesman Apurba Bhattacharya said that, the suspended MLA's were Pijush Hazarika, Jayanta Malla Baruah, Pradan Baruah and Pallav Lochan Das.
The party had issued show cause notice to Bolin Chetia, Rajen Borthakur, Kipanath Mallah, Abu Taher Bepari and Binanda Kumar Saikia and they were asked to reply within 15 days.
APCC had took action against the nine MLA's of the party who welcomed their colleague Himanta Biswa Sarma at Borjhar airport when the former Health and Education Minister of the Tarun Gogoi led government returning to Guwahati from Delhi to join BJP.
