National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) has handed over a dividend cheque of Rs.59.40 Crore to the Minister for Urban Development Shri Venkaiah Naidu here today. NBCC paid a dividend of Rs.5.50/- per share.


During the occasion, Shri Venkaiah Naidu expressed his happiness over NBCC paying dividend to the Government of India for the ninth consecutive year. He said that the country is moving towards urban transformation with the launch of major schemes such as Smart Cities Mission, AMRUT and Housing for All etc, which gives a fillip to the construction industry in the country. NBCC should use the opportunity and scale newer heights in the years to come, the Minister added.

Speaking on the occasion the NBCC Chairman Shri Anoop Kumar Mittal said that the company's financial performance has been impressive in the year 2014-15 as compared to the previous year resulting in an increase in dividend from Rs.5.00 to Rs.5.50 per share, a 10% increase over the previous year. The sum will be remitted through RTGS on 10th October, 2015 for the other stakeholders, he added
