Dial toll-free 1033 for road accident services

People will soon be able to seek help in case of road accidents by dialling on a toll-free national helpline number 1033.\"The government has decided to set up \"1033\" toll free national helpline number for reporting road accidents, and other issues relation to National Highways,\" Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari informed the Lok Sabha in a written reply.

Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari informed the Lok Sabha in a written reply. For South Zone, a call centre would be set up at Mysore and states covered will include Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andaman and Nicobar Island, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.
