President gives away Padma awards
The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee presented Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awards here on Monday at a Civil Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. In all 56 awards were presented on Monday and the rest would be given away next month.

Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were the Vice-President of India, Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Union Ministers of Home Affairs, Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation and Human Resource Development, Rajnath Singh, M Venkaiah Naidu and Smriti Irani. Dr D Nageshwar Reddy, Dr All Venkata Rama Rao and Saina Nehwal were among these from the Telugu States who received the Padma Bhushan at a ceremony in the Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Monday. Other include
Dr Nayudamma Yarlagadda, Dr T V Narayana, Dr All Gopala Krishna Gokhale and K Laxma Goud were among those Telugus who received the Padma Shri award at the ceremony.
