Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were the Vice-President of India, Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Union Ministers of Home Affairs, Urban Development, Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation and Human Resource Development, Rajnath Singh, M Venkaiah Naidu and Smriti Irani. Dr D Nageshwar Reddy, Dr All Venkata Rama Rao and Saina Nehwal were among these from the Telugu States who received the Padma Bhushan at a ceremony in the Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Monday. Dr Nayudamma Yarlagadda, Dr T V Narayana, Dr All Gopala Krishna Gokhale and K Laxma Goud were among those Telugus who received the Padma Shri award at the ceremony.
