Ahmedabad : In a significant development, Gujarat BJP MLA Nalin Kotadiya has reportedly held talks with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at Rajkot Circuit House. One close aide of AAP leader said the BJP MLA may join AAP soon. If this happens, this will be the first big jolt to the ruling BJP in the state, where it has been in power for nearly 15 years.

One AAP leader accompanying Kejriwal claimed that many BJP and Congress MLAs particularly from north Gujarat were in touch with Kejriwal. Among the BJP MLAs are predominantly those belonging to Patidar community, which has been agitating over reservations. Kejriwal may take a call after measuring the level of support he receives from the state.

Meanwhile, AAP is all set to challenge both PM Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah in their home state by making 62-year-old Kanu Kalsaria, a former BJP legislator, as the party's face in the state for next year's poll. In a similar development, former BJP MLA Yatin Oza, who met Kejriwal, said he would soon join the Aam Aadmi Party.

"This is an informal meeting with Kejriwal but you can consider myself as having already joined AAP.”Oza, a practising lawyer at the Gujarat High Court, said after joining the AAP he would target Modi over the "rampant corruption promoted by his government".
