Mumbai:For the first time ever, devotees were offered free Wi-Fi hotspots with the ‘AAMCHANET’, brought to the worshipers by Hinduja Group’s broadband service IN-BROADBAND in association with the Maharashtra Cable Operators Federation (MCOF), at some of the popular Ganesh Pandals, including the Lalabaughcha Raja Pandal, Ganesh Galli and the popular immersion site of Girgaon Chowpatty, among others.

The initiative received a massive response, with over 1, 30, 000 devotees using the service, and celebrating this festival with their friends and family using various social media platforms. The service was also extended to popular immersions sites on the final day of the festival during immersions.

Net_Welcome PageSpeaking on the initiative, Yugal Sharma, CEO, IN-BROADBAND, added, “AAMCHANET services was a first-of-its-kind initiative and was introduced with the aim to offer hordes of devotees visiting pandals for the elephant God’s blessing an opportunity to celebrate this festival with their loved ones and friends even irrespective of the distance. We are pleased to see the great response to ‘AAMCHANET’ services and hope with this, we were able to ensure devotees could celebrate on the go, as AAMCHI MUMBAI bids adieu to their favourite God today.”

The popularity of the AAMCHANET was also due to the simplicity of use, making it accessible by a vast number of common people. All one needed to do when visiting a ‘Pandal’ powered by AAMCHANET, was to scan for the Wi-FI Spot and enter their name and mobile number on the log-in page. They would then receive a One Time Password (OTP) which enabled them to access the network, on the go.

So this Ganesh Utsav, celebrate in the true “Aamchi Mumbai” style by taking selfie with Ganesha at a pandal near you, and sharing the Lord’s blessings with your friends and family, using the AAMCHANET.
