New Delhi:Delhi Police on Friday raided an illegal casino here, arrested eight persons including four women, and seized 3,000 tokens worth several crores of rupees.
Acting on a tip off, the casino in Vasant Kunj area was raided, the police said.
"We have arrested eight persons, including four women, and seized nearly 3,000 tokens valued at several crore of rupees," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Nupur Prasad said.
The police had raided a similar casino in the city on October 23, and arrested 36 people then.
A case was registered under the Delhi Gambling Act.
Except for the states of Goa, Sikkim and the union territory of Daman, casinos are illegal in India.
