Panneerselvam takes oath as Next CM
Highlights
After the death of AIADMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was announced, the party announced senior AIADMK leader O Panneerselvam as the new AIADMK chief and the new Tamil Nadu chief minister.
Finance Minister O Panneerselvam was sworn in as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on late Monday night.
Earlier, he was elected to lead the party in the State Assembly. The Jayalalithaa loyalist has earlier stood in twice as chief minister when she had to step down because of corruption cases against her, according to party sources.
After O Panneerselvam, Rest of the Cabinet Ministers took oath together at Raj Bhavan.
