New Delhi: BJP president Amit Shah is all set to visit Telangana again to ‘rejuvenate’ the leadership of the State unit once again. This was decided at the BJP National Executive Committee meeting here on Friday.

Amit Shah has already undertaken three tours to the new State in the last two years ‘to infuse the leadership with the required enthusiasm in taking on the TRS government’, but his efforts have not yielded required fruits, the national leadership felt. Speaking to the media here after the meeting, Dr K Laxman, president of the State unit, said Amit Shah would tour the State for three days.

He said the party would take on the TRS government on its failures and campaign about the Central government schemes that were benefiting the people. The State government had failed on all fronts and the same would be exposed, he said.

He said the government had failed to construct even those houses sanctioned by the Centre to the State and funded by it. In all 1.90 lakh houses had been sanctioned, yet the local government had no inclination to keep up its promise on housing for the poor, Dr Laxman said.
