PAN within minutes
Getting Permanent Account Number (PAN) card used to take weeks together. But, now it’s made easy. Henceforth, the number will be allotted within five to six minutes. Moreover, the procedure for payment of taxes with use of a smart phone is going to be a reality soon.

According to sources from Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), through Aadhar-enabled e-KYC facility, the issuance of PAN will be done expeditiously.
e-KYC will function with thumb impression based e-KYC. It will be similar to the procedure through which the sim cards are being issued. Soon after the registration, within five to six minutes, the number will be known and the PAN card will be received in a few days.
Additionally, the Income Tax department is in the process of developing a mobile app for paying income tax, online.
