PM Modi: Forgetting Sufism will push us into darkness
Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the culture of Sufism and said that the future will be pushed into darkness if the priceless culture is forgotten in Kashmir.
Udhampur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the culture of Sufism and said that the future will be pushed into darkness if the priceless culture is forgotten in Kashmir.
"Sufi culture is priceless and if we forget this culture, we will forget our future too. We will push our future into darkness," Modi said while addressing a public rally at Batal Balina in Udhampur.
"I got the opportunity to live in the Valley during my work for our organisation. I know the people of the state. I know the Sufi culture of Jammu and Kashmir well," he said.
He said Kashmir was the pride of India and people should connect with its culture and civilization to make themselves proud. He said they should work shoulder-to-shoulder with the government for the state's future.
He said development was their mantra and they wanted to take along the youth of India on the path of development.
