Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs, who were not allowed to attend the special session of the State Assembly on Sunday, called on the Governor E S L Narasimhan and submitted a memorandum against the undemocratic manner in which the Land Acquisition Bill was passed in the State Assembly.

Later speaking to media, floor leader G Kishan Reddy, TBJP president K Laxman and floor MLC Ramachandra Reddy said TRS trying to stifle the voice of the opposition was an undemocratic act. They accused the TRS government of encroaching upon the rights of elected representatives. Laxman said the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was taking unilateral decisions. His acts remind BJP of the autocratic rule of the Nizam.

He asked Speaker S Madhusudan Chary to explain the rules under which BJP legislators were not allowed to attend the special session of Assembly.
