Rajasthan: Mother jumps into well with three children, two dead

A 40-year-old woman allegedly jumped into a well along with her three children, killing two of them in Rajasthan's Banswara district.
Jasoda Yadav along with her daughters Shivani,15, Nandini,12, and son Shailendra, 6, jumped into the well in Dashara village of the district in the morning of June 26, police said.
They added that the villagers rescued them and rushed to a nearby hospital where Nandini and Shailendra were declared dead by the doctors.
Jasoda and Shivani are currently being treated at the hospital.
The motive behind the extreme step taken by the woman has not yet been ascertained as the police have not recorded her statement, police said.
