New Delhi: The Union Cabinet has approved setting up of a state-of-the-art Forensic Science Laboratory in Amaravati, under the umbrella scheme of "Modernisation of Police Forces (MPF) for 2017-18 to 2019-20.
The Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave its approval for the same here on Wednesday. The umbrella scheme MPF is expected to modernise the police forces in the country. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had been requesting the Centre since long for the lab to come up in the State.
