As of now, 19 out of 26 flats in the area have been evacuated in the operation.

In the early hours of Saturday, terrorists stormed inside the army camp as well as into one of the army family quarter.

Thereafter, the security forces cordoned off the area and began a search and combing operation.

Three security personnel were injured, one of whom later succumbed to his injuries.

Jammu Inspector General of Police (IGP) S. D. Singh Jamwal revealed that one Hawaldar and his daughter were also injured,

Following the attack, the district administration has asked the schools within 500 meters of the camp to remain shut.
