Delhi: Indigo’s decision to withdraw three A 320 aircrafts due to engine problems, has hit its services. Indian announced the withdrawn with effect from February 9.

The decision to withdraw planes has led to the cancellation of four scheduled flights and delay of six more flights.This caused confusion among the Indigo passengers.

"We confirm receiving the recommendations by Pratt & Whitney (the firm that powers the engines) as well as EASA (European Aviation Safety Regulator) with respect to the A320 neo aircraft powered by PW1100G - JM engines. We have three aircraft with the particular engine configuration, which have been flagged by EASA", an IndiGo release said.

The EASA has on Friday issued an emergency directive on the airworthiness of the A 320 planes that were fitted with PW1100 engines of a specific number series.
