The deceased, identified as Gautam Kumar resided at the Sobha Daisy Apartments and was hosting a Holi party for his friends when he fell from the balcony of his ninth-floor flat.

Gautam, who came to Bengaluru five years ago had purchased the flat with his three friends a few months ago.

According to the reports, Gautam received a call from his parents at around 11 pm and balcony to speak to them. Police suspect that he fell after losing his balance as he was leaning against the 4-foot-high parapet wall.

His five friends learnt about his death 15 minutes after the incident after noticing Gautam was not in the balcony and their calls to him were not being returned.

A security guard at the flat rushed to spot when he heard a thud and found Gautam lying in a pool of blood.

Police stated that the Gautam had instantly succumbed to death after sustaining a massive head injury.

A case of an unnatural death was filed based on the complaint lodged by his sister, Swathi, who stays in Nagawara.
