New Delhi: Will the no-confidence motion against the NDA government come up for discussion on Monday? If political circles in Delhi are to be believed, the Speaker has finally decided to take up the motion for discussion.

The Congress, the TDP and the YSRCP have already given fresh notices for no-confidence motion and are keeping their fingers crossed. Leaders of all these parties are likely to meet Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Monday and once again urge her to ensure that the motion was taken up.

They propose to request her to talk to the agitating AIADMK members and tell them to defer their protests and in case they do not listen, they will ask the Speaker to take necessary measures to create an atmosphere where head count could be taken without hinderance.

It is said that the proposed visit of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who would be leading a delegation of various parties and organisations would spur renewed political activity in the national capital.

Naidu is likely to thank various party leaders and MPs for their support to the demand of special status category for AP.

The AP Chief Minister will distribute booklets and would also give power point presentation to MPs and parties explaining what was promised by the BJP, what was given in the last four years and will explain how the Centre had failed to implement about 18 promises made under the AP State Reorganisation Act, including the special category status, how the Centre had misled him in regard to the special package and how it had cheated the people of Andhra Pradesh.

In case the no confidence motion does not come up for a discussion on Monday and if Parliament is adjourned sine die, then the YSRCP MPs would submit their resignations and will sit on fast unto death at Andhra Pradesh Bhavan. This is would be followed with protests and similar fasts in the state.
