The four buses carrying tourists was suddenly attacked but Rajavel’s 22-year-old son fell prey to the attack.

While the passengers yelled at each other to duck and take cover, Rajavel’s son R Thirumani Selvan had earphones plugged in, failed to pay heed to the warnings.

Immersed in music, Selvan didn’t hear his father shout when the stones were being pelted and ended up taking a hit on the right side of his head. While he was rushed to the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, the doctors couldn’t save him.

His body arrived in a coffin from Delhi via Indigo Airlines late on Tuesday evening.
