New Delhi: The Centre has decided to clear 'one by one' all the pending proposals of the AP Reorganization Act, 2014 for AP. The file pertaining to the establishment of the Tribal University is being put up in the next week's Cabinet meeting at the behest of the Prime Minister's Office.

Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu will be laying the foundation stone for the Disaster Management Institute near Gannavaram during his upcoming visit. Similarly, the Centre has asked all the ministries to look into the pending proposals and allocation of funds.

"All funds will be released for these proposals and those where next installments are due, releases will be made at the earliest. We have already cleared the Central University proposal too and fund allocation will be made accordingly," BJP sources said.

This move comes in the backdrop of whipped up public sentiment against the denial of Special Category Status to the state by the NDA government and non-implementation of other demands.

"Irrespective of the politics being played out, we have been asked to go ahead with our work towards keeping the promises so that there is no lacunae on part of the Centre," the sources in the Finance Ministry stated.
