Recently a ceasefire was announced by the Indian government during the period of Ramzan along the international border. Pakistan apparently is not going to honour this ceasefire as there have been reports of unprovoked firing over the 10 days with the latest being on Wednesday.

Recently a ceasefire was announced by the Indian government during the period of Ramzan along the international border. Pakistan apparently is not going to honour this ceasefire as there have been reports of unprovoked firing over the 10 days with the latest being on Wednesday.

These incidents has forced the citizens from the India-Pakistan border to flee from their homes for their safety. On Wednesday, five civilians including a ten-year-old were killed.These incidents happened along the international border, LoC in Jammu, Kashua, Samba and Rajouri districts of Jammu region.

Some of the citizens have moved to safe shelters run by the government. The government is building about 14,000 large community bunkers in the five border districts, with each bunker’s capacity being 40 people to shield the civilians from these incidents.

A war has been unleashed on the border of India and Pakistan but the local civilians are paying the price with their lives.
