On day one of the strike, there has been a shortage of vegetables supply.

The 10 day strike, which is being called “Gaon Bandh” is an agitation by farmers in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Punjab.

Due to the vegetable and milk supply being reduced, there has been a spike in the prices of these products.

The strike has been called by Rashtriya Kisan Mahasangh as a way to waiver the farm loans and increase the selling price of milk to Rs 50 per litre.

Mahasangh members went into the market and asked the farmers not to bring any vegetables for the next 10 days.

In some places, the protesters have thrown the vegetables and milk to the ground if anyone was seen selling them.
