MUMBAI: Flying into Mumbai in the monsoon causes a lot of of frustration, due to delays and diversions by the hour.

One such incident caused a plane, Air India’s Ahmedabad to Mumbai AI 985,to be diverted to Goa due the bad weather.

A passenger got so frustrated that, when the plane was waiting on the Goa tarmac, he deployed the emergency evacuation slide.This caused a delay, as according to the procedure, the staff had to reinstall the chute before taking off to Mumbai.

The passenger when questioned about this incident said that he had done so because he was feeling suffocated and that he had needed fresh air.

Due to the incident, the flight reached Mumbai at 6:33 am, with a delay of 10 hours.

Air India gave no comment on this incident as sources state that the airline is yet to decide whether to treat the passenger as unruly or not.
