KUSHALANAGARA (KARNATAKA): A 14-year old boy of Sainik School is South Karnataka's Kodagu district was found dead in the washroom of the school. The police sources told NDTV that he was scolded by a computer teacher for watching porn. He had to give a letter of apology. They also said that the CCTV footage showed the boy rushing to the chemistry lab and drinking a chemical after being scolded by the teacher. Later, he locked himself in the common toilet. This took place on Saturday around 1:30 pm.

The boy was reported missing at the 4pm attendance call but his absence was not looked into by the authorities. His father, who was a hockey coach at the school, was informed about this incident only after the 6:30 pm roll call, when he still didn't show up.

The boy's father went to his brother's house to look for his son and the students searched the school simultaneously. The students found a toilet door that was locked from the inside.Then they forced the door open and the boy was found. “He was rushed to the hospital immediately”, said the police. The time of his death is not known.

They boy's family protested outside the hospital. They were joined by the locals. A complaint was filed by the family and the police sources say that they demanded to register a complaint of murder.Police say that the family has been briefed and explained about the probe and the situation in the area is now calm.
