New Delhi: The Supreme Court here on Thursday issued notices to the Centre and AP government seeking their replies to the Odisha’s objections over extension of stay on stop order work on Polavaram project repeatedly. The Odisha government filed an interim petition on it questioning why the stop order should be kept in abeyance. The court said the replies should be submitted to it in three weeks.

The court also directed the parties involved, state governments, the Centre and an NGO, who entered into litigation over the project, to submit all important documents relating to the case while seeking to know whether Rela, the NGO was duly registered at all. The court felt that the organisation should have approached the governments on tribal issues involved.
