New Delhi: A bench of the Supreme Court here on Friday adjourned the hearing into the division of the High Court for two weeks serving notices to the AP government and the High Court of Judicature, Hyderabad.

Senior Counsel Mukul Rohatgi, who argued on behalf of the Telangana government stated that his client was prepared to share the existing premises of the High Court with the AP government or even prepared to give away the entire building to AP High Court.

It would plan for its own building, he clarified. Attorney General Venugopal reiterated the stand of the Centre which filed a petition in the matter to ask why should not be present building be divided between the two states to establish both the courts in the same premises. He also urged the SC to dismiss the 2015 order of the division Bench of the High Court of Judicature in this regard.
