Easing the process of affiliation for CBSE schools, the central government on Thursday disposed of 2000 applications of 8000 which were pending from 2007 and also revised the rules of affiliation process.
Minister for Human Resources Prakash Javadekar said that the new regulations will be followed by the schools reducing the required documents by two. He also said that the process of inspecting the schools will not be made again as they are already being assessed by the state government under RTE act.
The minister also said that the CBSE board receives around 2000-2500 applications for affiliation every year.
According to the new revised rule, the entires process will be done online by submitted only two documents and completed within a year.
Earlier, the schools used to procure documents from the revenue department, co-operative and so on after being inspected by the departments. Later, CBSE used to re-verify the infrastructure in the schools which was a lengthy process.
The affiliation rules were last revised in 2012.
