New Delhi: YSRCP and BJP leaders from Andhra Pradesh are, parallelly and separately, working to mount pressure on the Centre to use the ‘attempt to murder’ on Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to launch a Central probe into the incident “to dig out the truth”.

Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy, led a team of MPs to seek a probe from various agencies, including Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), into the attack which took place in Vizag airport.

Pointing out that the attacker, J Srinivasa Rao, had been working with Fusion Foods Restaurant at Vizag Airport owned by ruling TDP Harshawardhan, they stated in a memorandum on Tuesday that the attack was a big criminal conspiracy and was pre-meditated.

Seeking to know the NOCs given to the contractor and the security permits issued to both Harshawardhan and Srinivasa Rao, they sought to know how was the Aerodrome Entry Permit was given to them.

They had also met the Union home minister Rajnath Singh to press with a similar demand. Simultaneously, the BJP state leadership too is seeking a Central probe into the incident at various levels.

Vijayasai Reddy also a released a letter to the media, written to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi drawing his attention to the land deal between CRDA, Amaravati, and Lingamaneni Estates Pvt Ltd seeking a probe into the irregularities by the Central agencies.
