Assumptions and interpretations around the likely entry of superstar Mr. Rajinikanth to Tamil Nadu politics has not only exposed the fear psychoses and total shallowness of many politicians in Tamil Nadu but also the possible support the super star has in Tamil Nadu.

Reasons for the fear of many politicians in Tamil Nadu politics due to super star are many. First and foremost reason is that the super star will change the landscape of Tamil Nadu politics and therefore the co-existence of ‘you scratch my back, I scratch yours’ to loot and ruin the state in the name of linguistic identity politics may come to an end.

The greatness of Dravidian politics and how it had destroyed the state are quite visible even to the last man in the state and the best example being the educational system in the state that are largely owned politicians as big business establishment. To sustain their business empire, they have forced out the merit from the academic and have brought lavish and generous evaluation system to placate the merit less.

People are sick and tired of drawidian politics. The major threat these politician fears the most to their political existence is BJP. Once BJP enters into Tamil Nadu, the regionalism may disappear and nationalism may enter into the state which is however good for the state but might not go well for some narrow minded politicians who knows to play nothing but linguistic politics.

Ever after 3 years in office, instead of earning anti-incumbency, Modiji has gained popular support and overwhelming respect of especially the youths, all age group and people of all economic strata mainly because Modiji works tirelessly for India than for his family or BJP.

A political leader of such stature, integrity and commitment like Modiji, India has not witnessed in the recent past in Indian politics. First time, people are seeing the slogan happening ‘sab ka sath, sab ka vikas’ and certainly the slogan had not fallen as just a political rhetoric.

Many path breaking initiatives Modiji has taken and some of them become huge success not just politically but they have transformed India as well. Some of the initiatives have also failed miserably. Failure of the mission is definitely not due to the intent of the Government which was untrue or the implementation went wrong but certainly many states have not supported such mission. Best example being swaach bharat. When people fail to exhibit their sense of duty and responsibility, many such missions do fail but Government must continue to create awareness to make India clean.

Chennai may be the last place in India to become clean. Equal to the abundant pollutants in the air in Chennai, liquor shops are also available in the city. Thanks to the surplus supply of liquors from the state owned liquor shops, people drink, intoxicate and then spit, vomit, shit and urinate in public place to keep Chennai clean and healthy. Government may not do much because the solution lies in complete prohibition that the present political systems in TN will not do due to their business interest.

Irrespective of different political colour, many politicians and their parties are deriving different proportions of benefits from liquor business, sand theft, running education as business etc. Once Modiji enters TN, he might start the cleaning mission and naturally the business syndicates operating from behind the scene and the many benamie holdings would tumble down.

People see the entry of super star as an indicator of a great change in Tamil Nadu politics. Such change would naturally get the vision of Modiji’s development and ‘sab ka sath, sab ka vikas’ mission. No selfish politicians would like the growth and development of the state at the cost of own down fall. Even if Mr. Rajanikanth forms own party and oppose BJP but still it would certainly catalyze a political change in the state and such change would favour Modiji because most of the youths of Tamil Nadu are after Modiji.

It is quite natural that people fear any change to their status quo. Politicians and political parties are no exception. But we must recognize the truth that India is changing. Modiji is building a new India. If our political leaders bring newness and contemporariness in them rather than keep invoking regional identity, supremacy and drawidianism, it would be good not just for the state but to their political career as well.

The likely combination people of Tamil Nadu wish are Rajinikanth, BJP and OPS. Definitely BJP must come to power in TN and more importantly, Dravidian rule should end.
