She said that women should become a symbol of pride for families, she added. Participating in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Degree College for Women at Kantheshwar in the town on Wednesday, she said that  women would be able to command respect in the society only if they come up in life through sheer hard work, single minded devotion and perseverance.Â
Nizamabad: District Collector Dr Yogitha Rana urged family members not use the term ‘girl’ or ‘woman’ but call them daughter or baby to give them some amount of respect and pride.
She said that women should become a symbol of pride for families, she added. Participating in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Degree College for Women at Kantheshwar in the town on Wednesday, she said that women would be able to command respect in the society only if they come up in life through sheer hard work, single minded devotion and perseverance.
She said that it was the women who toil very hard in running families and this was applicable to all the families in general.The District Collector said that there was nothing impossible for women to attain in the world if they put in all their efforts with grit and determination.
She urged the girl students to study hard to come out in flying colours in the examinations and settle down well in life in high profile jobs drawing fat salaries. They should try to grab the opportunities with both their hands, she added.
Giving the example of Sindhu, she said that the badminton player sued to get up at 3 AM every day and practice hard and now she attained the picnnacel of success.
Later, the District Collector unveiled the pylon o the college to mark the golden jubilee celebrations.In his speech, Nizamabad Urban Bigala Ganesh Gupta said that the TRS government was doing a lot for encouraging women in all the fields.
Former MP Narayana Reddy said that so many students of the women’s degree college attained great heights in the society. He congratulated the college on the occasion of its golden jubilee celebrations.
Several political leaders were present on the occasion.
